Sponsorship & Membership

Q: What does it mean to sponsor a Ganjier Guild membership?

When you sponsor a membership, you’re covering the cost for another person to join the Ganjier Guild community. You pay the Monthly or Annual dues; they get full access to Guild education, events, and resources as if they were paying for themselves.

Q: Which memberships can I sponsor?

You can sponsor any Guild membership type that’s eligible on this page (for example, Community Education or Certified Ganjier). Each sponsorship funds one person’s access to that specific membership plan.

Q: How do I sponsor a Monthly or Annual membership?
  1. Choose the membership you want to sponsor and select Monthly or Annual billing on the product page.
  2. Check the box labeled “Sponsor another member”.
  3. Enter the recipient’s email address in the field that appears.
  4. Add the product to your cart, review the plan (Monthly/Annual) and email, then proceed to checkout and place your order.
Q: Who can I sponsor?

You can sponsor a fellow Certified Ganjier, a student working through their training, or anyone you’d like to bring into the Guild ecosystem. All you need is their email address—we’ll handle the account creation and access.

Q: Does the recipient need to enter any payment details?

No. The sponsor (you) provides the payment method. The recipient only needs to set up or log into their Guild account to use the membership.

Q: Can I sponsor more than one person?

Yes. You can purchase multiple sponsored memberships, either in one order or over time. Each sponsorship is tied to its own recipient email and subscription.

Recipient Accounts & Access

Q: How does the person I sponsor get into the Guild?

If they’re new to Ganjier Guild, they’ll receive an email invitation to create their account, set a password, and log in to the Member Portal. If they already have a Guild account with that email, the sponsored membership is added to their existing profile automatically.

Q: What exactly does the recipient receive by email?

They receive:

  • An account email with a set your password link (for new users).

  • A subscription/membership email letting them know they’ve been sponsored and how to log in to access their benefits.

Q: What does the recipient see after they log in?

Once logged in, the recipient sees an active membership attached to their account and can access the areas, events, and libraries included in that plan, via the Member Portal or My Account → Memberships.

Q: Will the recipient see my billing information?

No. Recipients never see your card details or billing info. They see their membership status; you see and control the subscription payments from your own account.

Billing, Renewals & Cancellations

Q: Who manages payments for a sponsored membership?

You do. As the sponsor, you’ll see a subscription in your My Account → Subscriptions area where you can update your card, cancel, or change your billing details. The sponsored member manages their login/profile, but not the billing.

Q: What happens if I stop sponsoring?

If you cancel your sponsorship, the membership you’re funding will stay active until the end of the current paid period. After that, the sponsored member’s access to Guild‑only content and benefits will pause unless someone else sponsors them or they start paying for their own membership.

Q: Can I pause my Monthly sponsorship?

For Monthly subscriptions, you can turn auto‑renewal on or off from your View Subscription page, subject to the rules shown there. Turning off auto‑renewal stops future charges after the current paid period ends.

Q: Can I change from an Annual sponsorship to Monthly?

We handle “plan changes” manually to keep things clean. Let your Annual sponsorship run until it expires. When it ends, you can start a new Monthly sponsorship from this page. That Monthly plan can be toggled on or off via auto‑renewal in your account.

Q: Will I get reminders before renewal?

You’ll receive an automatic reminder email 7 days before each renewal, plus follow‑up if a payment fails, so you always know what’s happening with your sponsorship.

Upgrades & Membership Changes

Q: How do I upgrade from Community Education to Certified Ganjier membership?

Right now, upgrades are handled manually so we can confirm your status and place you in the right part of the Guild. If you’re ready to move from Community Education to Certified Ganjier, please email the Guild admin with your request. Include your full name, Guild account email, and your Ganjier certification details. We’ll review your account and follow up with next steps.

Q: What happens to my existing Community Education subscription if I upgrade?

Because upgrades are manual, we’ll look at your current membership status and subscription before we make any changes, then confirm with you by email. Our goal is to avoid overlap or unexpected gaps in access; we’ll outline exactly what happens before we process the upgrade.

Q: Can a sponsored member upgrade their own membership?

If a sponsored member wants to upgrade, they should contact the Guild admin. We’ll review whether the upgrade should be handled by the current sponsor, a new sponsor, or the member themselves, and then coordinate next steps.

Emails, Errors & Support

Q: What if I type the wrong email for the person I’m sponsoring?

It happens. If you spot an error, reach out to Guild support with: your order number, the email you entered, and the correct recipient email. We can move the sponsored membership to the correct account so the right person receives the Guild invitation and access.

Q: The person I sponsored didn’t receive their email. What should we do?

Ask them to:

  • Check spam/junk and “Promotions” folders.

  • Search their inbox for your site name or “Ganjier Guild”. If they still can’t find it, contact Guild support with their email address, and we’ll resend their invitation or help them log in manually.

Q: Can I sponsor someone anonymously?

Yes. The person you sponsor will see that their membership is covered, but we don’t have to publicly share your name unless you ask to be recognized in Guild communications or member directories.

General Help & Contact

Q: Where can I see all my active memberships and sponsorships?

Log into your Guild account and go to My Account → Subscriptions to see what you’re paying for, and My Account → Memberships or your Member Portal to see active memberships attached to your profile.

Q: Who do I contact if I have membership or sponsorship questions?
